Lehi Roller Mills was founded in 1906 by a co-op of farmers. George G. Robinson purchased the mill in 1910, and since then it has remained in the family. It is run today by grandson R. Sherman Robinson.

At the turn the century, Lehi Roller Mills was among thousands of such family-owned mills operating in the United States. Fewer than fifty remain today. High demand keeps the mill grinding around the clock, six days a week, and the mill produces some 100,000 pounds of flour each day.

Lehi Roller Mills was immortalized in the 1984 production of "Footloose". It was featured as Ren McCormack's (Kevin Bacons) workplace and as the site of the dance. Every year on July 13th the town celebrates its "Footloose" fame with a town dance off on Main Street.

CABELA'S OUTDOOR WORLD:

Being right of the interstate, the newest addition to Lehi's community is the Cabelas Hunter Outdoor shop. Cabela's has a distinctive look to their retail operations, a look which turns them into tourist attraction as well as retail stores. The stores are more like cavernous showrooms bringing the outdoors inside. They feature museum-quality displays of taxidermied wildlife, large aquariums, indoor mountains, and archery ranges.

THANKSGIVING POINT:

Thanksgiving Point offers a number of events to educate and entertain the public. These events include a reenactment of the first Thanksgiving, where every aspect of the feast is kept as close to the actual feast as possible, including a ban on forks. Also, Holiday Lights features a drive-through light display with one million twinkling lights, holiday music, and a series of Christmas displays.

To provide financial support for Thanksgiving Point, private events such as weddings, parties, and corporate events are held in a variety of conference and meeting rooms throughout the property.

Each spring from April to mid-May, a quarter-million tulips at Thanksgiving Point Gardens announce that spring has sprung in Utah. Thanksgiving Point's annual Tulip Festival has expanded to three weekends so everyone has a chance to welcome spring with the region's only Tulip Festival. The event was expanded to accommodate record-breaking crowds visiting the Gardens. The breathtaking display takes place April 13 - 28 at Thanksgiving Point Gardens (closed Sundays), 10am until 8pm.
